Even the smallest of successes are almost always achieved because someone-a coach, a friend, a parent, a teammate-helped lift us when we were down. Our mentoring program is your opportunity to be that person who lifts another. Reaching out to Refugee Soccer teammates to make sure they know they belong, get assistance when they need it, and to just be a friend is a vital and rewarding role you can play in the life of refugee youth who’ve already been through so much.

The mentoring program works like this:

• Monthly Check-ins with your assigned Refugee Player using our assessment form.
• Check-ins are done via mutually agreeable messaging platforms. Instagram, Snap, etc.
• Completed form is sent to Refugee Soccer management for processing and follow-up as needed.

Rewards Program

In order to encourage consistent communication between Mentors and Players we will provide an incentive program that looks something like this:

Additionally, for active and consistent participation at any level on the part of Mentors or Players, Refugee Soccer will provide Letters of Recommendation helpful to school or job applications, as well as verification of required service hours either group may need.
