Recently members of the #SheBelongs 2023 Team were Recently members of the #SheBelongs 2023 Team were ball girls at the @slcc_wsoccer match on a gorgeous Saturday in #SaltLakeCity.

Not only was it a great win for the Bruins, but also another beautiful moment of reuniting with their sisters and forging new friendships with other female athletes and students.

We are really grateful for our head coach @marlimartin5 and her head coach at SLCC, @amysix, for making this opportunity happen.

Given how the community impact and valuable belonging continues so beautifully we are super excited to talk about our upcoming plans that will include thousands more girls and women. Stay tuned…

Once again, the amazing young ladies of the Bingha Once again, the amazing young ladies of the Bingham High School girls soccer team showed up huge for this community soccer camp for refugees.

We had over 100 people attend and, as always, it was so rewarding to watch the bonding occur on the soccer field between humans who may not be living the same life but have so much more in common than most of us often realize.

We were also able to give away a ton of donated gear for our refugee friends. Many thanks to all who supported making this day such a successful event. We can’t wait for next year but also hope to have many more days like this with other teams and organizations before then!

#SheBelongs is all about connection and true inclu #SheBelongs is all about connection and true inclusion. It is such a validating joy to see moments like this happening 2 months after we left on our amazing trip to the @fifawomensworldcup.

Salem had a special and memorable senior night with her soccer team from @pcminernation @pchsminers. A nail biter decided in PKs around 10pm for her team. Not only was Salem supported by her biological sister, Sutton, on the field but also by four of her #SheBelongs sisters in the stands.

We love these girls and how they proudly support one another and spread the vital and timely message we have.
We are slowly, but surely, digging out from our am We are slowly, but surely, digging out from our amazing #SheBelongs trip this summer. And before we start talking about plans for NEXT summer, we want to make sure we thank as many of you who helped us as possible. Let the gratitude begin.

Many thanks to #saltlakecity Mayor Mendenhall @slcmayor for the support of her Adminstration and her. What a great example of the potential girls have to become whatever that want in this world. We aim to continue to harness and amplify that potential through the #beautifulgame of football.

The push for positive change in gender equity and The push for positive change in gender equity and fundamental human rights is best achieved when we have strong allies and advocates along the journey.

This week, right before going to watch the @uswnt start their quest for an historic 3-peat as World Cup champions, we had the unique privilege and honor of chatting with two powerful allies in the #SheBelongs movement.

It was so fitting to meet the @secondgentleman , the husband of the first ever female, vice president of United States and hear his passion and commitment to gender equity and making the world fairer and safer for girls and women to pursue their potential and be all they want to be.

We also got to meet US ambassador to New Zealand, Tom Udall, and his wife, Jill Cooper. They were so gracious with their time and encouragement visiting with our team. We left our meeting uplifted and inspired to be better and work harder to see, respect, and celebrate females, especially those with refugee backgrounds.

We look forward to continuing to advocate the principles of our mission and appreciate the chance to connect with amazing humans at all levels of power and position along this vital path.

- Faith Barker, employee at R.A.S NZ (@youth_atras)

Our last match in New Zealand made a huge impact on each player and for our mission as a whole. When we started #SheBelongs just a few months ago, we could’ve only hoped to have has this big of an impact. From the games we’ve played to the girls we’ve met the #SheBelongs mission continues no matter the distance.
Day 10 - We had our second match of the trip again Day 10 - We had our second match of the trip against UMMA Trust and to say it was a great game would be an understatement. Our girls fought and played hard and continued to build those important relationships with the other team both on and off the field. After the match, UMMA Trust hosted us for an amazing dinner where we got to continue learning about the players and their backgrounds.

These moments are something these girls won’t forget and we only hope for more moments like this in the future.
